A Scene is like a chapter in your video. It's a container that holds multiple Tracks and Clips, allowing you to group related elements together. You can arrange Scenes sequentially on the Timeline, and each Scene can have its own duration.
Scene tracks
Within each Scene, you have Tracks.
These are horizontal layers where you place your Clips.
For 2D mode elements, Tracks allow you to overlay different visual elements. For instance, you might have an image clip on a lower track and a text clip on an upper track, so the text appears on top of the image.
Scene interactions
You can interact with scenes in several ways:
Context menu
Right-click on any scene to open a context menu with these options:
Duplicate scene
Create an exact copy of the scene with all its tracks and clips
Delete scene
Remove the scene from your video
Scene color
Choose a custom color for the scene to help organize your timeline
Reordering scenes
You can change the order of scenes by dragging them to a different position in the timeline, as shown in the video above.
Scene duration
Each scene has its own duration, which you can modify by:
- Dragging the handle on the left edge of the scene
- Dragging the handle on the right edge of the scene
The total duration of your video is determined by the sum of all scene durations. By adjusting scene lengths, you directly control how long your final video will be.
