Audio Reactivity

Make your scene respond to the beat

Audio reactivity lets you turn any property into a sound-driven animation so your visuals hit with every kick, snare, and riser.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Pick the element you want to react Choose a clip on the timeline (for example, a light, text object, or particle system) and select it so its properties appear in the Inspector.

  2. Identify the property you want to animate Expand the property group (such as Intensity, Scale, or Position) and hover it to reveal the ⚙️ gear icon. Click the icon to open advanced controls.

  3. Enable Audio Reactivity Toggle Audio Reactivity on. Banger.Show starts sampling the audio of the scene and displays a live frequency graph.

  4. Choose the frequency range Drag the handles on the graph to isolate the part of the song that should drive the motion. Use Bass for punches, Mids for vocals, and Treble for sparkly movement.

  5. Select a reactivity mode Start with Linear for additive motion, then experiment with Multiply or Power if you want harder hits or exponential bursts.

  6. Dial in the feel Increase Intensity for bigger moves, adjust Blend Amount to keep some manual control, and use Invert when you want the property to shrink on peaks instead of grow.

  7. Layer multiple reactions Repeat the process on other properties or clips—mixing different frequency bands across elements creates richer, more musical scenes.

  8. Combine with keyframes Keyframe the base animation first, then add audio reactivity on top for a dynamic result that still follows your planned timing.

  9. Preview and refine Play back the scene in real time. Tweak the graph and settings until the motion locks in with the groove of your track.
