Spot Light

The Spot Light creates a focused cone of light that illuminates a specific area of your scene. Like a stage spotlight or flashlight, it produces a concentrated beam that fades at the edges. Spot Lights are perfect for creating dramatic lighting effects, highlighting specific elements, or adding depth to your 3D compositions.

Quick Start

Add from Elements tab > Lights > Spot Light. Position and rotate the light to aim it at your subject.

Properties

Intensity

Controls the brightness of the light (0–1000). Higher values create a brighter, more visible light cone. Animate this property to create pulsing or flickering light effects synced to your music.

Angle

Sets the spread of the light cone (0–1.57 radians). Smaller values create a tighter, more focused beam. Larger values spread the light over a wider area.

Distance

Controls how far the light reaches (0–128). Objects beyond this distance won't be affected by the light. Use this to limit the light's influence to specific areas of your scene.

Color

Sets the color of the light. Use warm colors like orange or yellow for sunset vibes, cool blues for night scenes, or vibrant colors for stylized looks.

Tips & Best Practices

Pro Tip

Spot Lights work beautifully with the Ferro Fluid visualizer, creating dramatic reflections on its metallic surface. Position the light above and slightly to the side for the most striking effect. Animate the intensity with audio reactivity to make the lighting pulse with your music.
