You can now add editable 3D shapes with image or video textures, start with a text style, and make camera zoom react to your audio. We've also added video audio controls and fixed several timeline bugs, including black flashes between clips and disappearing filmstrips.
Editing
-
Animated library previews show you how elements move before you add them. The elements you add start with the same look as their previews.
Text styles in the refreshed element library -
Canvas controls now let you resize elements by dragging their edges and rotate them by dragging just outside their corners. Drop a library element onto the preview to add it at the playhead. Clicking a library or stock video also places it at the playhead instead of the start of the timeline.
Resize and rotate elements directly on the canvas -
Seeking between video clips you've already viewed is smoother, and stepping backward or forward across a cut no longer flashes black. Shader-heavy scenes and waveforms use fewer resources during playback, too.
-
Video thumbnails match their timeline positions more accurately when trimming and zooming.
-
Duplicate video clips keep their filmstrips visible while you zoom or scroll.
-
Double-clicking an editor control resets it to the correct default.
Elements & effects
-
Editable 3D shapes are available in Elements > Shapes & 3D:
- Cube
- Sphere
- Cylinder
- Plane
- Cone
- Torus
Each shape has editable geometry and material settings in separate inspector sections. Change its material, apply a shader, or use an image or video as a texture.
-
Text and lyrics styles give you 12 editable text presets for titles and labels, plus Subtitle and Yellow Caption styles for audio-synced lyrics. These are starting points you can edit, not fixed designs. Choosing a lyrics style doesn't automatically transcribe your audio.
-
Camera zoom now supports keyframes and audio reactivity. Existing projects using the old low-frequency zoom effect keep their look.
-
You can also browse animated shader presets directly in Backgrounds and add one with its settings ready to use.
-
You can adjust waveform width up to 4 without it snapping back to 1.
-
Circle visualizers have softer side edges instead of sharp rectangular boundaries.
-
New text starts without an outline. Added outlines no longer leave stray fragments inside text or lyrics.
-
Effects on 3D objects no longer show through walls or other opaque objects hiding them.
-
Newly added videos fill the project frame. Existing clips keep their saved size.
-
The Sketchfab catalog has been removed. Upload GLB or GLTF files to add new models. Models in existing projects still work.
Export
-
Fixed a bug that prevented Lyrics and Fog elements from appearing on the first rendered frame.
-
Fixed occasional blank frames and missing text in rendered videos.
Audio
-
Video clip audio controls now let you mute, adjust volume, and set audio fades in the inspector or timeline. Drag the timeline fade handles to fade audio in and out, or use the inspector to enter exact values. Audio fades are separate from visual opacity fades.
-
Hiding a track now silences its audio in both previews and exports.
-
You can also drag audio clip volume controls over waveforms again without the waveform getting in the way.
Projects
-
Template customization fields are now optional. Leave a field untouched to keep the template's value, or fill it in to replace that value in your new project.
-
Fixed a bug that briefly showed "Project not found" when opening new projects.
-
Fixed a bug that showed outdated project data when opening a copy from a project duplication link.
