Better visualizers and canvas interactions

  • Visualizers: Frequencies are separated more precisely, and Circle, Waveform, and Oscilloscope have new modes and controls.
  • Canvas multi-selection: Select, move, and duplicate several objects on the canvas, and edit several clips at once in the inspector.
  • Spectrum mapper: Pick the frequency range that drives audio reactivity.
  • New effects and media tools: Rain on glass, movable shader clips, and audio compression before upload.
  • Fixes: Video preview frame drops, timeline zoom, uploads, and mobile playback.

Editing

  • Select and duplicate on the canvas. Shift-click 2D or 3D objects to select several at once and move them together. 3D selections share axis and rotation controls. Alt-drag (Option-drag on Mac) duplicates the selection and keeps its timing and animation.

  • Right-click menus on the canvas give you the clip actions from the timeline. Right-click empty space to paste clips or reset zoom.

  • Edit several clips at once. Select multiple clips to change their shared number, color, and toggle settings together in the inspector. Settings with different values show as Mixed.

  • Hovering over an object shows its outline, and 3D objects show a bounding box that follows their rotation.

  • On mobile, the preview stays visible while you scrub and pinch-zoom the timeline, and clip controls are sized for touch.

Elements & effects

  • More precise visualizers. Each Spectre bar covers its own frequency band and lines up with the Hz on the frequency ruler, so the kick and hi-hats no longer blur into neighboring bars.

  • Circle shows the full frequency range as a mirrored ring, and its bars no longer spin with the bass. Pick a variant from visual previews, and set bar width and glow separately.

  • Waveform has an RGB mode that colors bass red, mids green, and treble blue, plus a Resolution control. New waveforms start at 4× resolution, and short peaks are no longer averaged away.

  • Oscilloscope has Free, Pitch, and Single cycle modes, and an adjustable time span. Single cycle holds steady on bass and synth notes.

  • Spectre hides color controls that Rainbow mode doesn't use, and its Saturation, Brightness, and Segment gap sliders stop where they no longer change the look.

  • Rain on glass adds animated droplets, blur, and a color tint over artwork, videos, and text. Find it in Effects > Texture.

  • Shader clips added from the library are now 2D planes you can move and resize. Switch one to 3D to show it as a plane or a sphere. Shaders in older projects keep their look.

  • Video Sphere clips can be moved, rotated, and resized. Use Convert to Video to turn one into a flat video object.

  • The shader picker is a compact row that opens a searchable grid of all shaders.

  • Video clips show their current video in one row that opens Browse and Upload.

  • The crop control in 3D image and video settings is a single row with a one-click reset.

Export

  • You can export projects opened from a shared link.
  • Desktop exports of detailed 3D scenes use less CPU on Apple Silicon.

Audio

  • Spectrum mapper in Audio Reactivity lets you pick a frequency and amplitude range on a 2D map, with a live response meter. A purple gear icon marks every property with audio reactivity turned on.

  • Audio-reactive properties and the frequency picker line up with the Hz on the ruler. The Bass preset now reacts to 20–250 Hz.

  • You can retry an audio waveform in a clip preview that fails to load.

  • Videos without an audio track show "No audio" in the timeline.

Media

  • Compress oversized audio before uploading it. You see the new size first, and Banger.Show asks before recompressing a track that's already compressed.

  • Audio files show their cover artwork in the Media library.

  • Dropped media appears on the timeline right away, and upload progress shows on the media item or clip instead of in a notification.

  • Uploads retry after a dropped connection.

  • Uploaded 3D models switch to their optimized version automatically once it's ready.

Projects

  • The dashboard shows when each project was last updated, with exact dates on hover. Sort by recently updated, newest first, or name.
  • Template setup combines the preview and customization in one dialog with tabs.
  • Shared projects you can't edit show a red save indicator with a tooltip explaining how to save a copy.

Desktop app

  • Check for updates from the app menu, see download progress, and restart when an update is ready.

Fixes

  • Keyframes stay on their frame when you zoom the timeline after clicking or dragging them.
  • 3D objects stay where you drag them when you release a pivot arrow.
  • Clicking a clip's resize handle no longer shrinks the clip.
  • Full-resolution video previews no longer drop frames during playback.
  • Generating timeline thumbnails no longer makes playback stutter or leaves newly visible clips blank.
  • Fly mode mouse look no longer lags in scenes with complex 3D models.
  • Selection outlines and handles stay visible when an object extends outside the video frame.
  • Keyframe easing tooltips no longer cover the curve you're editing, and the curve editor button stays clickable over timeline fades.
  • The Elements search field is always visible and no longer takes over the Space shortcut for playback.
  • Returning to a project shows the correct playhead position.
  • Switching shaders in the inspector updates the clip name to match.
  • Playback no longer stops right after you tap Play in iPhone Safari, and panning the preview on mobile no longer opens a context menu.
  • Switching an object between 2D and 3D keeps its visible size.
  • Circle bars no longer have jagged edges.
  • On-device exports in different tabs no longer block each other, so you can start a new export right after a tab crashes or reloads.
  • Audio waveforms in clip previews render correctly on high-DPI displays.
  • Detected BPM and beat positions are kept when a track is still processing after upload.
  • Opening a project in another tab or device no longer marks in-progress uploads as failed.
  • Media that's still uploading no longer shows a broken preview.
  • Re-adding a file you edited uploads the new version, even when its name and size haven't changed.
